What is the Buffalo Shuffle?

Many of you may be asking " what is the buffalo shuffle?" Well it could be looked at as a derogatory term but I don't see it that way. The actual buffalo shuffle is the way that you see people jog who are out of shape and want it to look like they are running or are just bigger( fat or otherwise) and are attempting to run. Many runners see these people and know or think that they could walk faster than the pace these people are setting but speed is all relative. Their feet barely leave the ground and their arms are hardly swinging.

The Buffalo shuffle goes by other names as well. The fat man shuffle is the other commonly used name. And many runners who have ventured into races and have seen people at their personal limits may have seen good runners having to resort to the shuffle just to keep going.

What is the reason for naming my blog " The buffalo shuffle"? This is my current state of running. I am currently in a challenge with my self to lose weight and to graduate to becoming a runner. This is a blog that will catalogue my training, eating, and general adventures that are encountered throughout the journey. Since I am a bigger guy, I will be reviewing the equipment that I buy to give you an honest review of the stuff that I use. I hope you enjoy my journey and remember, just like the rest of you runners the shufflers are just trying to improve themselves.
